Firstly, let me introduce myself ...
Hi! My name is Colette Brooks and I'm a writer, proofreader, editor and musician!
I have always been a writer, ever since I knew how to pick up a pencil! I love writing and have written for newspapers, websites and blogs. In July 2020 I qualified as a proofreader and editor, gaining a diploma with distinction from the College of Media and Publishing. It is my not-so-secret ambition to one day be a published children's author.
I am also a musician and have worked in music education for the past 11 years. I love music and have had so many fantastic experiences over the years, as well as being privileged to have taught so many brilliant students.
However, since I became a mum last year I have decided to once again pursue my dreams and work as a freelance writer and/or proofreader. So here I am - welcome to my website!
